About Us

Our Mission

To further and support the hobby of Civil War reenacting by providing high quality historically accurate equipage and supplies, and to serve our customers with fast service and a 100% satisfaction guarantee. "Your HAPPINESS is OUR SUCCESS" !!!

Company Profile

We are a full service Civil War sutlery, we carry a complete line of fine wares including muskets, accoutrements, leather goods, emblems and insignias, uniforms, tinware, tentage, utensils, tools and shooting supplies, and much much more! We currently offer well over 400 different items from over 100 makers and suppliers, and all of our goods come from quality manufacturers such as Armi Sport, Euroarms, Mattimore Harness, Military Warehouse, Chris Sullivan, and many others, we also manufacture many items we offer right here ourselves on the premises. All items are backed by a full satisfaction guarantee.

I myself am a Civil War reenactor, portraying a Union soldier with the "149th New York Volunteer Infantry". Being a reenactor myself, I know what kind of quality you expect, and at Orchard Hill Sutlery, we do not sell anything that we do not or would not use ourselves.

Here is what some of our customers have to say:

"I appreciate the service, and have already "passed the word" to many people to use Orchard Hill. I should have another order soon, as Christmas is coming and Matt is need of most of his leather gear. Thanks again. John B."

"Everything looks OK. Thanks again for all of your help. As far as I'm concerned, you can have all of my business! Dan F."

"We sure do appreciate your haste in getting those muskets to us so quickly.
We'll salute you with the first shot! Thanks, Trooper Kevin G. 12th Texas Cavalry - Dismounted"

"Just wanted to let you know that my order arrived today and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of goods, speed of delivery, and attentiveness of service. You've earned a repeat customer. Tom H. 17th Virginia Infantry"

"I received the 1853 type knapsack I ordered last week. I wanted to drop you a note to advise I am very pleased with the quality of the knapsack, as well as the correctness and durability of construction. Add to this, your communication on availability and expedient delivery and it makes your company one I will do business with again and will recommend to my unit. Expect another order next week. Best Regards; Nick W."

"Dan & Jo - I just got back from the Post Office where I picked up my canteen. Let me say that I am extremely impressed with it! The spout looks outstanding, as does the jean cloth cover. I can't thank you enough for your efforts to make them available. It was a great idea, and was followed through exceptionally well. I can't wait until you get the rest of the "Ultimate Campaigner" line up and running, I've seen several of the items within your website already. Thanks for the effort you put forth, it was well worth it! Regards to you both; Paul M."

"Received my St. Louis Variant Canteen in fine order. It is A-1! Cannot wait to take it to the field! Thanks John P."

"I got my order and it exceeded my expectations. Thanks so much for your courtesy and excellent quality accoutrements. It is good doing business with you and I may be ordering those trousers and jacket soon. Thanks again! YOS, Val L."

"To my joy, my canteen arrived today around 1:00. I am very pleased with it. Excellent product, and I wanted to thank you very much for the great job with customer service. It has made my day. Steven W."

"Jo and Dan, thank you for sending the canteen so quickly it is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just what I have always wanted in a repro. (more like re-issue) canteen, I love it! Thanks again oh and thanks for the twine, the shirt is cool as well. Sincerely, Ted W."

"Dan & Jo,

Christmas greetings from the Heart of Dixie!

I wanted to drop a line and tell y'all what I think regarding the "hot dipped" canteen that arrived in the post today. This canteen is in my opinion the absolute finest in reproduction Civil War canteens I have ever had the pleasure of owning!

The first most notable detail I want to mention is the weight of the canteen. Just one of the many authentic details missing from all the other reproduction's I have held and used. The next detail is the spout. It will require a very close inspection for someone to differentiate this one from an original. Last but not least, the wonderful work of Ben Tart that covers the whole thing.

To sum it up, a masterpiece of a reproduction!

Thanks again for supplying all of us hardcore reenactors with such a fine product.

I remain your obedient servant,
pvt. Gary Kelley co E, 32nd Mississippi Infantry"
