New York State Excelsior Jackets We are extremely pleased to announce what we have been told by many is the most accurate and simply the best New York Jacket reproduction that is available! After literally over a year of painstaking research we are now ready to offer you an incredibly authentic high quality garment. The measurements used in the making of these jackets were all taken from an original at West Point. The pattern for this jacket was actually created from measurements taken from the original. Every detail has been captured, including a half lining of brown cotton, interior seams hand felled with brown cotton twill tape, muslin lined sleeves, diagonal exterior slash pocket, machine sewn construction with hand sewn button holes and hand sewn finishing of interior seams and lining, hook and eye collar closure, accurately sized left side belt loop, accurately sized shoulder epaulettes, correct size and color piping trim that is custom made exclusively for these jackets, features an eight button front with eight large New York buttons from Jim Kindred of the Military Warehouse. Two small non-functional New York cuff buttons on each sleeve, small cuff button on each functional shoulder epaulette, and a small New York cuff button on the functional belt loop, also all made by Military Warehouse. The body of this jacket is made with dark blue kersey, interior is a brown cotton half lining. The pictures below show some of the detail. I thank Ed Averill and the 69th NYSV, it was with their extensive research and great attention to detail that we were able to produce such a fine example. Much of the credit for this jacket being made possible goes to their help and dedication to this project. Item #U-050A $230.00 Please use regular coat size when ordering.
